RPA – The upcoming form of process automation technology works on the concept of bots and we all know it as Artificial Intelligence. These bots-powered applications have the capability to assist and share the activities that require human interaction. They require no coding experience, they are user friendly, easy and convenient to deploy. But the most importantly – are non-disruptive to the environment.

RPA is an emerging form of automation process that uses the software robots or AI workers. RPA is a typical kind of bot that has ability to provide assistance in the activities of a human, interacting with a computer system. It works on the user interface as a human does. After the RPA software understood about specific kind of process, it can automatically route transactions, initiate responses, work on data, and collaborate with other systems as needed. Additionally, RPA doesn’t require any coding experience and is non-disruptive to the existing environment.

The Impact of RPA on outsourcing

In the upcoming years, service provider ability around RPA could be a deal maker when it comes to outsourcing services. Companies expect Artificial Intelligence workers to play a major role in creating a balance between the various tiers of outsourcing services.

Traditionally, more output requires more workforces. But the emergence of Artificial Intelligence will change the equation. With automation on the field, where sophisticated programs will be equipped with better processing abilities. Than work can be done far more rapidly.

The surfacing of RPA has crafted cost deferential in the outsourcing engagement models. However, the cost difference does not necessarily result in the loss of jobs. As the organizations might move the freed resource from quantity-drive work to value-driven work. And even more complex jobs in order to add value to the organization.

RPA gives a chance to provide better opportunity to extract better value from their staff. Presently, it has been noted that 50% of the organizations’ outsourcing engagements are based on traditional models. Even though, there are companies that are expecting transformational changes to this mode, in the next two to three outsourcing models. Whereas, this doesn’t state that the traditionally engagement models will disappear completely.  Its present cost saving and operational efficiency opportunities for service providers. That are embracing changes and adding on automation capabilities to their portfolio.

In the coming future, RPA capabilities will be one of the most crucial considerations for selecting an outsourcing vendor. Organizations have started, including RPA capability as a criterion, while inviting outsourcing service providers. These companies consider an onshore plus automation solutions as a substitute to a purely offshore solution. They also consider the compliance and productivity benefits of using bots over humans. As the industry landscape is evolving, service providers that offer RPA solutions at the earliest are set to reap great advantages from the emerging trends.

As RPA has the capability to reduce cost substantially – the very aspect that leads to the boom in the outsourcing industry. RPA would visibly and permanently change the business pricing models. It will support the industry providers to get up to speed and offer new service capabilities to their existing clients. As for the industry experts, traditional outsourcing won’t become void very soon. In fact, everyone expects RPA to boost and strengthen existing relationships.

As Artificial Intelligence increases in sophistication, many kinds of processes will be automated and the outsourcing companies will begin to lose the cost advantage that they previously had enjoyed. In the end, they will have to look beyond costs and focus more on the high-end services. However, before embracing the RPA Capabilities providers will have to assess them. The decision to integrate RPA in the process should be genuine and should be implemented only in the required business areas.

Artificial Intelligence has created a cost deferential in the Outsourcing engagement models. Which states that the job loss will not happen. But on the contrary, it will free up more resources in the organization to focus on more complex and strategic work.  While there still will be a need for human interaction, so initially automation will be neglected. But later on, companies will opt to automate certain tasks to enhance their efficiency and keep up with the competition. In this case, organizations will have to train employees about Artificial Intelligence. Or will have to outsource their tasks. Outsourcing of engineers who specialized in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning is a great way to ensure that the organization can utilize a diverse range of technological expertise in future.
